Our first day trip with just the kids and I was to the Los Angeles Zoo. With no traffic this is a 45 minute drive each way. I learned my lesson from our trips to the bay area and printed directions to and from the zoo. Except for missing my freeway where it breaks in to 3 different freeways in one spot, we were good. Just a little jaunt through LA back streets and we were back in business!
There are just to many pictures, so I chose to collage them and get as many on here as possible! The kids were able to be veterinarians on baby condors (the stuffed ones in the top picture!). There was a lot of construction going on so there were a lot of closed exhibits, but there was still a ton to see! I especially liked the muraled elephants, I LOVE elephants! Audrey said the tiger with the tuft of hair around its neck was her favorite. Hunter loves the monkeys, especially a little black howler monkey bouncy around like a crazy man, go figure! I think I am partial to the adorable baby mountain goat, babys of any kind are so precious!
